At Stag & Stow Co., the website has always felt like the front porch —the place where mom and dad sit down, crack open a cold one, and talk about life.
It’s where we share stories about the world, work, travel, food, and the lessons that come with living it.

But just inside, closer to the hearth, there’s another space — a warmer one.
That’s where Built with Grit, Kids™ lives.
It’s where the kids sit close, listen, learn, and grow — together and as individuals.

I spent years learning how to breathe through the suck.
Then I spent years teaching those same lessons to my kids.
Now they’re grown — one’s 22, the other’s 19 — and it’s time to pass that fire on to yours.

One story at a time.

Because grit isn’t born — it’s practiced, passed, and learned.

The Pillar of Numa™ — The Beginning of a New Journey

The Pillars —Letty, Junie, Nabi, and Namu

The first episode premieres Saturday, November 15.
That’s when we light the first spark.

Our premiere episode, PAUSE, marks the launch of Built with Grit, Kids™ — a storytelling space made for the next generation.

It’s not about rules or lectures. It’s about slowing down, finding courage, being fair, and seeing clearly — one story at a time.

In the world of Numa, how you feel changes how you see.
When your heart is calm, the world shines brighter.
When it’s heavy, even sunlight feels far away.

These stories remind us that emotions don’t make us weak — they make us human.
Through The Pillars of Numa™, children learn to understand themselves, their feelings, and the quiet strength that comes from patience, kindness, and courage.

Episode I — “Pause” (Temperance)

🌿 A gentle story about learning to slow down.

When Namu, the Pillar of Temperance, rushes to keep up with the world, he discovers that calm isn’t weakness — it’s strength.
Through still water, quiet skies, and reflection, Namu learns that peace begins when we take a breath… and pause.

✨ A story of patience, balance, and kindness — told through color, rhythm, and emotion.
Created to help children (ages 5–8) understand that slowing down can help them see the world more clearly.

Each short episode runs just two to three minutes long — quick enough to fit into your day, but meaningful enough to spark real conversation.
They’re designed to help families talk, slow down, and grow together — not through lectures, but through reflection.

Meet the Pillars

The world of Numa follows four friends who each bring something different to the story — but all share the same goal: learning how to grow, together.
Each of them practices the same virtues — patience, courage, fairness, and wisdom — but in every story, one shines a little brighter.

Namu — The One Who Pauses

Namu — The One Who Pauses

Namu moves like still water — calm, steady, and thoughtful.
He teaches that slowing down isn’t falling behind. It’s where understanding begins.
When others rush ahead, Namu listens, breathes, and helps everyone see more clearly.

Nabi — The One Who Rises

Nabi — The One Who Rises

Nabi is fire and motion — bold, loyal, and full of life.
She leaps first, laughs loud, and believes every challenge can be faced head-on.
Her real strength isn’t fearlessness — it’s the courage to rise again after falling.

Junie — The One Who Mends

Junie — The One Who Mends

Junie is the quiet heart of the group — steady, patient, and kind.
He believes that fairness begins with kindness and that small acts can heal big divides.
When others argue, Junie listens. When things break, he’s the first to help fix them.

Letty — The One Who Sees

Letty — The One Who Sees

Letty watches, listens, and asks the questions no one else thinks to ask.
Her gift is perspective — she helps others look past what’s obvious to what’s true.
Her laughter and insight remind everyone that wisdom begins with understanding.

The Pillars of Numa™ — Four Virtues. Four Episodes. Zero Fluff.

  1. Episode I — “Pause” (Temperance)
Namu learns that waiting can be powerful — and that calm helps everyone see clearly.

  2. Episode II — “Rise” (Courage)
Nabi learns to face fear, discovering that courage doesn’t mean never being afraid — it means moving forward anyway.

  3. Episode III — “Mend” (Justice)
Junie learns that fairness begins with kindness.

  4. Episode IV — “See” (Wisdom)
Letty learns that listening can change everything — and that sometimes the best answers are quiet ones.

Each story gives kids and parents a moment to pause and talk — about patience, courage, kindness, and understanding.

Shorts Throughout the Week

Between full Saturday episodes, we’ll share short stories and character moments from Numa — bite-sized lessons about courage, patience, fairness, and empathy.

Because growth doesn’t happen once a week — it happens every day, one choice at a time.

Looking Ahead

In the future, builtwithgritkids.com will feature simple, pre-educational materials that connect with each episode: printable reflections, discussion prompts, and creative activities for families and classrooms.

Nothing heavy, nothing complicated — just gentle ways to help everyone slow down, talk, and focus on what’s important in life.
To grow together, and as individuals.

First Episode Premieres Saturday, November 15
